Gathering and sharing Information for all
Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology with SNIPR
The UCSI was established to create safer communities, deflect crime and promote economic growth through the use of effective ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) SNIPR CCTV camera surveillance.
• In this way, our crime prevention strategy is to be pro-active and avert crime before it is committed.
• The UCSI provides intelligence information timeously to all Law Enforcement Agencies. These include but are not limited to Local and Provincial SAPS, Radio Control 10111, Flying Squad, SAPS Dog Unit, SAPS Highway Patrol, Umngeni Municipality Protection Services, Road Traffic Inspectorate, SANRAL, and affiliated Security Service Providers.
• Technology has become a game changer in the way we are now able to fight crime.
• The UCSI operates independently of any Security Alarm Monitoring and Armed Response Service Providers.
• The UCSI has a reliable camera network where cameras are checked and managed daily.
• The UCSI is accessible to the community who can report suspicious vehicles.
• Communication is key. We are not short on resources, we are short on knowing each other and getting the communication to the right people. This is where the UCSI NPC is so powerfully unique. It makes sure that the right people get the right information.
• The UCSI has pioneered a localized platform that is supported and backed up at a national level, where information that is received through SNIPR is acted on timeously and appropriately.
• The power of the UCSI is in the synergy of relationships and ultimately the network of cameras established in our community spaces
UCSI uses ANPR SNIPR CCTV
